Omniflow showcases Smart Crosswalks at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2022

Omniflow was present at the latest Intertraffic Amsterdam 2022 showcasing our sustainable solutions for increased safety in crosswalks, computer vision, integrated EV charging and Smart Bus stops.

More than 70% of traffic accidents involving pedestrians occur at night, in urban environments, and not at higher speeds.

Using our smart pole, powered by wind and solar, we developed the 5G smart crosswalk that can detect pedestrians with the built-in sensors and activate full brightness of the lamppost, road, and signal lighting so the pedestrian is perfectly visible and the driver is aware of his presence.

Because of the 5G connectivity and computer vision, we can also send all the traffic/pedestrian data into our cloud-based dashboard, and using V2X technology in the future, the solution will be able to actively slow down the cars in the presence of pedestrians and provide an extra layer of safety.
